La manada reacciona tarde. El 31 de julio del 2016 publiqué esta nota probablemente premonitoria a la luz de las decisiones recientes que observamos del BCRA: “Badlar vs CER: ¿Cuánto le queda al Central para sucumbir al keynesianismo de Hacienda?”. Veo a mucho analista recomendando “ahora y tarde” dos posiciones: a) long CER, b) short parte larga de la curva hard dólar, posiciones ambas, que alerté cuando importaba o sea, DOS meses antes. Tengo la sensación de que las últimas TRES bajas de tasas del BCRA se perciben como motivadas por cuestiones políticas, independientes por lo tanto, de las ambiciosas metas de inflación que el Central indicó para 2017 en torno al 17%. El rally en la parte media y corta de los bonos con CER, sumado al agresivo rally que el dólar ha mostrado en estas últimas tres semanas, describe a un mercado local que claramente está haciendo un repricing de las principales variables macroeconómicas de caras al 2017 presa del “nuevo mundo Trump”, siendo la inflación esperada claramente, una de ellas. Tampoco creo que las REM (relevamiento de expectativas de mercado) estén midiendo adecuadamente expectativas inflacionarias, dado que son una medida sesgada y poco representativa del agregado, basada primordialmente en la opinión de alguna que otra consultora (incluso algunas obsecuentemente oficialistas) y mucho mercado financiero, que de economía real y monetaria entiende muy poco. Sería interesante si se le diese mayor participación por ejemplo a sindicalistas, supermercadistas, almaceneros, industria de la educación, inmobiliarias, por citar algunos componentes de expectativas, que no creo estén correctamente representadas en las medidas del REM, resultando probablemente en expectativas de inflación sustancialmente más elevadas.
